Elokuvatähtenä.

Keväällä 2012 Villilä Studioilla Nakkilassa ( http://www.villilastudiot.fi/fi/etusivu.html ) valmistui lyhytelokuva the Good Cop. Matti toimi mm.puomimiehenä ja yhdessä roolissa loisti myös Nooan (eilisessä jutussakin esiintynyt) pehmolelu Ruusu. Nooa & Valtteri olivat hyvin innoissaan tästä suuresta elokuvatähteydestä; Tuumailivat että Ruusulle olisi välittömästi hankittava tähdenmalliset vaaleanpunaiset, kimaltavat aurinkolasit.

”The Good Cop”

Officer Kurt and Officer Otto sit in the police car in the forecourt of an abandoned petrol station. It is rural Finland and the autumn is in full swing. The officers wait for anybody speeding past to grab their attention. Otto and Kurt paint the picture of an old married couple, comfortable in their habits and familiarity. What they share in mutual respect and understanding, they do not share in outlook on life.

The film aims to explore the questions of Leibnizian positivism as a response to Voltaire’s criticism of the philosophy in his seminal work Candid.The positivism would suggest that all is for the best in all possible worlds. Or, in other words, this world in which we live is the only world we have. It is the only option for us. Therefore, it is by default, the best of all worlds. And so, we should be happy with what happens in this world as things simply cannot be better.

This short fiction film is loaded with silent, sarcastic humor.
